I have not been able to sew anything since he passed away. I am trying to pull myself together as I know he would want me to try to get on with my life. It is just so hard to concentrate without tears of sorrow streaming down my cheeks. Rest in Peace My dear Ron.
So sorry to read this sad news. My thoughts and well wishes to you and your family x
ReplyDeleteI tried to join your blog so I can keep up with you but it said to return later. Don't know what that's about. I emailed you. Please let me know how you're doing! It's a huge adjustment and loss. Please keep in touch. XO Bev
ReplyDeleteI am so very sorry for your loss. It will take a long time probably before you feel like getting back to your normal routine. Don't push yourself - allow yourself time to grieve. My heart hurts for you. blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to read about your loss Margaret. The saying your son posted is lovely, I hope those happy memories sustain you.
ReplyDeleteMargaret, I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so hard for those left behind, but a blessing that he does not have to suffer any more after those five long years. Bless your heart. Finishing a quilt that my mother had started shortly before her passing was something that healed me with every stitch. I gave it to my Dad the following Christmas. It would have been my mother's first pieced quilt, and ended up becoming my own first pieced quilt. I hope you can return to quilting and crafting soon. That creative process can do wonders for healing.
ReplyDeleteIt takes a long time when you lose a husband, I lost my first in 1988 at age 46 , married again in 97. My first was 54 when he died, praying for you
