Heavy Heart

As you know my husband has been battling cancer for the last 5 years. He lost the battle on Dec 10th. My heart is heavy  with sorrow. I know his pain is now gone and he will be watching over me. My son posted this on facebook for me.
I have not been able to sew anything since he passed away. I am trying to pull myself together as I know he would  want me to try to get on with my life. It is just so hard to concentrate without tears of sorrow streaming down my cheeks. Rest in Peace My dear Ron.

  3. I am so very sorry for your loss. It will take a long time probably before you feel like getting back to your normal routine. Don't push yourself - allow yourself time to grieve. My heart hurts for you. blessings, marlene

  5. Margaret, I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so hard for those left behind, but a blessing that he does not have to suffer any more after those five long years. Bless your heart. Finishing a quilt that my mother had started shortly before her passing was something that healed me with every stitch. I gave it to my Dad the following Christmas. It would have been my mother's first pieced quilt, and ended up becoming my own first pieced quilt. I hope you can return to quilting and crafting soon. That creative process can do wonders for healing.
